Weekly Letters #4

Dear reader,

I hope your spirits are high and churn rates are low. This week was not boring like the previous week. It’s been both a fun and productive week for me. Also, the sky isn’t plain and boring. Some fluffy cotton balls appeared along with some colour. I suddenly saw the sky changing its color and the clouds forming wings like a butterfly. Well, I saw it. It’s gorgeous. Not exaggerating. The weather is a bit confusing here. It’s sunny in the morning; sometimes it rains in the evening and gets so cold at night every day. So, I don’t know what season it is here. Today the sunset was amazing. The sun looked like a tangerine, peeking from the big building. It’s so pretty.

This week, my sister and I saw a bunch of movies. It’s been so long since we both watched a movie together. We always used to stay at different places, and now we are together. Coming back, we saw Eternals, Shyam Singha Roy, Queen (it’s my first time watching it), Mimi, Lion, Never have I ever (two seasons), Bareilly ki barfi, Kahaani, that’s it. Watching movies together is so much more fun than watching them alone. I ate cube-sized fruit jellies. When we were having dinner, my sister remembered that our mom used to tell us the some bedtime stories when we were kids. One of the stories is about a tiny sparrow.

Well, it goes like this!!

"Once upon a time there lived a tiny sparrow. Every day the little sparrow used to collect grains and gave it to an old grandma. (Psst…. He is a payasam/kheer lover, that’s why). After collecting the required amount, the little sparrow asked the granny to make payasam. Accordingly, granny made the payasam and left it in the backyard deck for the sparrow to enjoy. The little sparrow was so eager to eat the payasam, he forgot to wait for it to cool down and went straight into eating. It was so hot and burned his beak. He was restless and impatient. He took the pot of payasam and poured it into a pond for it cool. After realizing his folly, and agitated over losing his hard earned grain, he drinks the entire payasam mixed water in the pond. With his stomach full and afraid that the water will burst through his bum, he stuffs dry grass and goes to sleep in the cow shed. The cow which is hungry notices the dry grass and eats it. That’s it, the entire water from its tiny tummy floods the cow shed and the grandma’s house."

Nice story, right. Don’t try to analyse. Why am I saying it is because I tried it. How can a teeny tiny sparrow flood the entire house? Ha! Just enjoy the story.

Today my sister put Mehandi. It’s not normal Mehandi that we see everywhere; its doodle Mehandi. Yes! Try it, if you haven’t. It’s unique, and you can draw what you like. If you want to start drawing doodles or learn doodle, check out our blog post, ‘A Simple Doodle Recipe’.

(https://www.therulednotebook.com/post/a-simple-doodle-recipe) Why must it always be drawn on paper or a book? Why not on your hand? Try it! here is a picture of it,

(Isn't it cute?)

(Not my hand, the Mehandi)

Also, we created a To-do list template. We will post it in the website tomorrow. Check out in the printable section. I hope you enjoyed this letter. See you soon! Have a happy and productive week.

Yours Sincerely

Vidya
