Weekly letters #5

Dear readers,

Happy February! I hope you are doing well.

This week I started reading another book, 'How do you live' by Genzaburo Yoshino (1937). It will be made into a Ghibli film, and it's Hayao Miyazaki's final film. This film is a gift to his grandson. It's about Honda, a 15-year-old boy nicknamed "Copper" (read the novel to find out why he's called Copper) and his uncle. It's about youth, spiritual growth, poverty, and the whole experience of human beings. I'll talk about more on the next blog.

I did a movie marathon for two days. I watched one new movie, "My best friend Anne Frank", simply beautiful. And I watched Guru, Raavan (both Tamil and Hindi), Schitt's Creek (I rererewatched it). Also, these days I'm going to the terrace alone, I'm going a bit early, and I got to see more of the big mountains ( it covers clouds or fog). These days they are visible and slight hills. It is a very relaxing and calming to just watch the view.

My sister and I heard some great news. I have been desperately waiting for it to hear. As soon as I heard it, I rushed home and shared it with my parents. I stuck a choco pie into my mouth out of pure joy. I dont know how many I ate after that. The moon has arrived quickly and shown its beautiful smile these past few days. It is getting here day by day. Ice cream season is coming soon for us! Yay!!

My sister and I started a 28-day gratitude journal after reading the book 'Magic' by Rhonda Byrne. It's been only two days, but it is lovely. Today, we saw many beautiful things. I saw a big crow, covered with shiny black fur, and it had a gentle sound to it. I saw two aeroplanes passing. It's rare to see it. It doesn't make any sound when it's coming or going. Plus a helicopter which made rounds. It looked like a flying fish and a jet. Wahh! Whenever it comes, the whole sky looks beautiful! It seems like a slow-motion shooting star. We also watched fireworks. Fireworks take place at least thrice a week here, but we saw it closely this time. And this is how we end our day with lots of fireworks and a relaxed mind.
